Why Give?
Tandem was founded with a vision to create a collaborative educational environment that gives students freedom with responsibility and ignites a love of learning that transforms lives. We prepare students academically and instill them with the values of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality and stewardship, which will serve them throughout their lives. Bringing this vision to life requires a high level of commitment and significant resources. The Tandem Friends Fund (TFF) provides the funding needed to bring these core concepts to life and to set Tandem apart from other schools in our area.
What is the Tandem Friends Fund?
The TFF is an essential resource for funding financial aid, supporting our teachers and providing experiential learning opportunities to our students, along with so much more. Gifts to the Tandem Friends Fund go where the need is greatest in our school, and they are put to use immediately - spent within the fiscal year that they are given.
Why Giving Matters
When you give to Tandem, you are enhancing the educational experiences of our students, increasing our accessibility to families and expanding world views. Like most other independent schools, tuition does not cover operating costs in full. We rely on donations to help us create the moments of spark that transform lives. Unlike giant non-profits, when you give to Tandem you are likely to know the people who benefit from your generosity and you can see the impact that Tandem has on their lives. Your gift makes an immediate and meaningful difference at our school, especially for our students and teachers.
About Giving
Our school is a non-profit, 501c3 organization that relies on donations from community members, which means that your gift is tax-deductible. Many people are able to maximize their tax benefits by giving assets like appreciated stocks, or from their IRAs. You can reduce your tax-burden and make a difference at our school by making a gift to Tandem.
